About Learningtracks®
Learningtracks® is an innovative e-learning platform founded in Poland. We pride ourselves on providing unrivaled service to our band of loyal customers.
We have a strong reputation for a leading-edge product but we don’t sit back, constant product updates and enhancements are part of the basic LMS product. Our system is cloud-based with a global reach; we work across the UK and Europe.
The Challenge
Our design office was responsible for a new layout of the CLMS learning platform. As it was an internal project, we could start from a tabula rasa.
The existing platform was only connected to Google Analitycs, but there were no research done. The user wasn’t specified
Our main goal was to design a platform with new product strategy, improve the failures of CLMS platform and set a unique value proposition of the new brand with help of UX tools and UI knowledge.

Design Process
We decided to start with some workshops to face with the expectations about the platform. With the help of workshops we could:
Understand business requirements at the beginning of an initiative
Gather existing knowledge
Create consensus on plans and priorities for a project
Understand expectations
Build a mutual understanding of the overall project direction, key milestones, and vision
Get a glimpse into the broader context (e.g., culture, parallel efforts, etc.) that may affect the project
Understand who the relevant customers or users are
Gain clarity and consensus on user needs, motivations, and behaviors
Build empathy for users
Interviews
We conducted IDI interviews and Google surveys. Before we started - we prepared our research scenario with questions we would like to ask.
After that - we selected potential user we could talk with. We selected 25 persons because of our budget limits. Poor data is even better than no data at all…
The second part of research were online surveys published on social media groups and our landing page.
As the project was running under the CLMS brand we also had some existing data we could analyze.

We work with the Design Thinking methodology.
Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype & Test
The brand
The project was new and fresh. Luckily we could start from scratch to adapt Learningtracks® to our business goals. Thanks to CLMS we had a design anchor point we could follow.
After setting the strategy we started with our own, unique Learningtracks brand book. We designed a logo and a signet which was our brand identification.
We specified color, typography, key visuals, do’s and don’t’s. A brand book is always a good source of truth if you have to design a platform from scratch.
Consequency
we work with the 8pt grid workflow to have a better control of the design. It helps us later to hand-off screens for developers.
Website
A website was the first thing we designed and developed for our platform. Learningtracks® landing page as a gate to the web application. After login you have a complete access to your Learningtracks® platform.
Color Palette
*50% color opacity for further darkmode design.
Native platform
Learningtracks® is split into admin panel and dashboard. Dashboard is the key platform for user who conduct courses. The dashboard tab is available in native environment. It is available on tablets and mobile.
